Thorium and Calamity are a notoriously bad combo simply because of how unbalanced they are against each other. Just because they're the biggest mods does not mean they go well together. My recommendation is Thorium + Fargo's Mod (which is a very popular QoL mod), as well as some other smaller QoL mods too.
